Assistive Technology Centre

Thanks to the Neil Squire Society, we have a bank of assistive technology that people with disabilities can try out to evaluate its suitability and usefulness for their particular needs. We have a variety of equipment such as the following:

  • Alternative keyboards
  • Alternative screen pointers (mouse)
  • Screen magnification
  • Programs for voice input and output

Who can use it? People with:

  • Repetitive strain injuries
  • Disabilities affecting the upper body
  • Arthritis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Vision Disabilities

Assistive Technology Services

  • Assess and determine what technology will be effective
  • Try out and evaluate equipment to ensure it is the right choice
  • Train in the use and application of the assistive technology
