Assistive Technology Centre
Thanks to the Neil Squire Society, we have a bank of assistive technology that people with disabilities can try out to evaluate its suitability and usefulness for their particular needs. We have a variety of equipment such as the following:
- Alternative keyboards
- Alternative screen pointers (mouse)
- Screen magnification
- Programs for voice input and output
Who can use it? People with:
- Repetitive strain injuries
- Disabilities affecting the upper body
- Arthritis
- Cerebral Palsy
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Vision Disabilities
Assistive Technology Services
- Assess and determine what technology will be effective
- Try out and evaluate equipment to ensure it is the right choice
- Train in the use and application of the assistive technology
